This study analyzes the acoustic impact of both mobile and fixed sources in the surroundings of Universidad Central and the problems caused to the population settled there. Data were collected, a descriptive statistical analysis was carried out, and a simulation using the SoundPLAN software was conducted to determine the behavior of the sound waves produced by the sources mentioned above. Different receptors affected by high noise levels were recognized, and it was determined that these exceeded the standards allowed by the environmental regulations for Colombia (Resolución 627 de 2006). Finally, an action plan was designed with preventive and corrective measures to mitigate the effects of these problems in vulnerable people.
