Design of a product incubator through a pilot at Universidad Central
Main Article Content
The Product Incubator of Universidad Central is a comprehensive project designed to support and strengthen the technological developments carried out by students in academic spaces called Engineering Practices of the Faculty of Engineering and Basic Sciences. This article exposes the steps followed to structure the base process for the incubator, which allowed the identification of some requirements that led to an implementation through a pilot test. As a result of the structuring, four phases were defined: (1) awareness and identification of ideas, (2) product incubation, (3) product consolidation and (4) product enhancement; and as part of the implementation, five projects from different engineering programs were selected to participate in the Product Incubator pilot test.
