The article addresses the dynamics of science institutionalization through the study of a Research Cluster at Central University. The methodology was based on semi-structured interviews with participants of the research and with the director of the project. In order to analyze the results, the article uses a narrative technique that is used by the sociology of translation and the analysis of sociotechnical networks. It concludes that a project leader uses strategies for dialogue and interrelationships of the participants by taking into account their interests, desires and goals, and implements the institutionalization of their project initiative through the participation of supporters.
