The purpose of this article is to identify the determinants of credit card possession in departments of Antioquia, Bogotá DC and Valle del Cauca in 2017, for which purpose data from the Financial Burden and Financial Education Survey were used. of households and a logit model for complex survey data was estimated. The empirical test showed that for the majority of individuals who have income from 2 SMMLV onwards, they are more likely to have a credit card, in the same way if they are 21 years of age or older and if the income received by the household is spent in full, the individuals will have incentives to acquire this product.
