The aim of this article is to discuss the teaching of philosophy in Secondary Education, problematizing it as critical thinking about our ways of life. Based on the theoretical approach of Michel Foucault, through the current concepts of ontology and the aesthetics of existence, it is intended to construct a concept of philosophy as a critical attitude about the present, a condition allowing the construction of a way of life as a strategy of resistance to the ephemeral pleasures of modern circumstances.
