This article seeks to present a literary invention. The narration of an imagined experience based on the recently deceased Chilean neuroscientist Humberto Maturana. Maturana, an organism and therefore, autopoiesis, opens its eyes, ears, unfolds its touch in a dark wooded mountain. In the sensitivity of its experience it settles in and builds domains of reality in which it translates its corporeity, its coupling to the world. “Maturana” adrift has progressively assembled from the mountain down to the city, where society’s reflection will not be external to the understanding of the human organism’s social organization. “Maturana” adrift connects the biological and the social.
